Most "Branch Manager" titles at retail banks and large lenders are a trap. You get a small override, a big territory, and a quota that benefits the company far more than you. You're expected to manage, recruit, train, and still produce — but the math never quite adds up in your favor.

At Axxis Mortgage, we built this role differently. You are a Player-Coach — someone who still originates at a high level while building and mentoring a team of Loan Officers. And because you're responsible for both your own production and your team's growth, your compensation reflects both.

You're not being hired to manage a desk. You're being given the infrastructure, the lender relationships, and the compensation model to build something real — without the risk of starting a company from scratch.

Three Income Streams. One Role.

Unlike most positions that force you to choose between a salary and production income, this role stacks three separate earning channels on top of each other.

Personal Production
You start at a 60% Split (~156 BPS) — higher than most retail banks pay their top producers. As your volume grows, so does your split. Up to 80% at $30M+.

Team Overrides
Earn 10–15 BPS on every loan your team funds. This is recurring, compounding income that grows every time you add a producing LO to your roster.

W-2 Stability
Full W-2 employment. Payroll taxes handled, benefits-eligible, real employment history. All the upside of a brokerage without the 1099 headaches.

Leverage your network to bring in W-2 Retail and Bank LOs who want better pricing and higher comp. Growth is your primary metric.

Lead & Train

Run weekly sales meetings, answer scenario questions, and help your LOs structure and close tough deals. You've been in the trenches — now share that experience.

Originate

Lead by example. Maintain your own active pipeline ($1M+ per month) to stay sharp on guidelines, pricing, and market conditions.

Who We're Looking For.

We're not looking for someone who wants to stop originating. We're looking for someone who wants to build — and understands that their personal production is what gives them credibility with their team.

  • Active NMLS License in good standing, with a clean record.
  • Proven Production History — minimum 2 years of consistent origination. You know how to close loans, not just talk about closing loans.
  • Leadership Experience — prior Team Lead or Senior LO experience preferred. You've mentored someone, run a meeting, or held a team accountable before.
  • Recruiting Mindset — you know people in the industry who are underpaid and undervalued. You're willing to make the call.
  • Compliance-Minded — you run a clean operation. Every single time. Non-negotiable.
  • Remote-Ready — comfortable managing a team and pipeline digitally. Hybrid and remote arrangements supported.
